In-person, 1 day (June 2, 2012 in Beecher, IL). Join us for a fun day of creating with spirit! Learn about the various tools and traditions as you watch your own take shape. We’ll spend the day working with spirit, through meditation and shamanic journeys, to create tools for use in our shamanic practices. The centerpiece of the day will be the birthing of an elk frame drum. Prerequisite: A course in Intro to Shamanism or Learn to Journey, and some practice with journeys on your own. |

In-person, 2 days (October 27 & 28, 2012 in Barrington, IL). During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. In-person, 3 days (2012 Dates To Be Announced, Chicagoland Area/Algonquin, IL). Focus is on the structural systems of the body. Utilizing the fascial, cranio-sacral and electromagnetic systems of the body, the student is taught to localize and correct restrictive patterns causing the patient’s symptoms. The student learns many full body techniques to facilitate change in the membrane/soft tissues of the body. These include, but are not limited to Diaphragm and Joint Releases, Sacral/Pelvic releases, Intracranial and Intradural Membrane Releases, and Stillpoint and Direction of Energy Releases. The bones of the head and sacrum are used as handles to facilitate release of the membranes. Prerequisite: None. Audience: naturopaths, acupuncturists, medical doctors, physicians assistants, chiropractors, nurses, massage therapists, physical therapists, students and general public. |

In-person, 3 days (2012 Dates To Be Announced, Chicagoland Area/Algonquin, IL). Attention becomes more specifically focused on the structures of the head and mouth. Incorporating and expanding an understanding of the cranial bones and the adjoining structures, the student is taught to access and correct lesion patterns of the Sphenoid, Occiput, Hard palate, Vomer, Ethmoid, Palatines, and Zygoma. Treating geriatrics, pediatrics and common conditions is also discussed and/or demonstrated. Prerequisite: SE971 CranioSacral Therapy - Level I. In-person, 3 days (October 2012 date To Be Announced, Chicagoland Area/Algonquin, IL). Illness and pain can be our teachers. Exploring the connection between mind, body, and emotion is the focus of this workshop. Gentleness and non-invasiveness are keys to treatment as one begins to explore ways of dialoging with the body to uncover beliefs that are linked to chronic pain. The students work in a multi-hands format in this class. Prerequisite: SE972 CranioSacral Therapy - Level II. Audience: naturopaths, acupuncturists, medical doctors, physicians assistants, chiropractors, nurses, massage therapists, physical therapists, students and general public. |
