A LIVE Workshop with Dawn Wrobel: Learn to Journey II: Walking Into the Sacred Circle ::

In-person, 1 day (August 1 or November 6, 2010 in Beecher, IL). During this one day workshop, we will be exploring in depth the seven directions of a sacred circle, the power of ceremony, making a journey mask, journeying to gather information, as well as learning how to work on and journey for others, creating more opportunities to bring Shamanism into our everyday life. Prerequisite: Open to anyone who knows how to journey and is wanting to expand their skills.

A LIVE Workshop with Dawn Wrobel: Creating and Empowering a Personal Healing Circle ::

In-person, 1 day (August 22 or November 21, 2010 in Beecher, IL). In this one day workshop you will expand on your basic skills of shamanic journeying with a series of guided journeys designed to step you through the process of creating, empowering, and using a personal healing circle. You will connect with your power animals, angels, guides, and teachers to establish a place of healing in non-ordinary reality. You can use this sacred Healing Circle to request healing for yourself, your companion animals, your family, and friends. Prerequisite: A course in Intro to Shamanism or Learn to Journey, and some practice with journeys on your own.

A LIVE Workshop with Carla Meeske: Shamanic Hands-On Healing Techniques: Loving medicine for everyone - people and animals! ::

In-person, 2 days (September 18 & 19, 2010 in Algonquin, IL). Learn to bring spirit through your bones to deliver powerful hands on healing. You will learn stand alone shamanic techniques, and you will learn how to use your shamanic skills to enhance other energetic healing modalities. Prerequisite: This workshop is appropriate for anyone who has interest in shamanic work. If you do not yet have experience with shamanic journeying, we recommend that you learn simple journeying into the middle, upper and lower worlds before coming. ASN offers an easy way to do this with the Intro to Shamanic Journeying in the 3 Worlds video course (see SH105 for more information).

A LIVE Workshop with Larry Kessler: The Secrets of the Shadow World ::

In-person, 2 days (October 2 & 3, 2010 in Algonquin, IL). The Hawaiians believed that the Shadow World (aka honua) is a place that intersects the spiritual and physical realms, where spirit enters our soul and becomes the world. But it is also the home of lapu — ghosts of our own creation. In this workshop we will find the Shadow World and learn how to create a new world. We will also find our lapu and transform them into living a life of peace and harmony. Prerequisite: Basic shamanic journeying or visualization skills. A LIVE Workshop with Dawn Wrobel: Learn to Journey: Introduction to Shamanism ::

In-person, 1 day (October 17, 2010 in Beecher, IL). Throughout time, Shamanism has been a way of life teaching us to walk in both worlds, combining earthly traditions and spiritual practices as well as building a community of support. Shamanic Journeying is a way to access information for our selves and our communities for the betterment of the Earth and her people. This supportive one day workshop teaches you the basic skills of Shamanic Journeying. Prerequisite: None.

A LIVE Workshop with Timothy Cope: Foundation for Shamanic Studies Basic Workshop: The Way of the Shaman® ::

In-person, 2 days (October 30 & 31, 2010 in Barrington, IL). During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. In-person, 2 days (March 26 & 27, 2011 in Barrington, IL). In this unique experiential workshop you will have the opportunity to explore the nature, meaning, and use of dreams among shamanic peoples, with dreamwork practices from a range of cultures. Prerequisite: SE905: FSS Basic Workshop.

A LIVE Workshop with Tom Cowan: Embracing Sovereignty ~ A Workshop in Celtic Shamanism ::

In-person, 2 days. (August 20 & 21, 2011, in Mundelein, IL). Shamanism is an earth-based spirituality in which spirits of the land—animals, plants, elementals, ancestors, faeries—play dominant roles as teachers, guides, and guardians. In Celtic traditions the Spirit of the Land Herself is named Sovereignty. She is the Goddess of the Land, the foundation for all moral and political authority.  In this workshop we explore Sovereignty’s role as the center of the Irish “medicine” or spirit wheel.  We will better understand our responsibility to correct the imbalances in our lives, and in the world we live in.  Prerequisite: Participants must have shamanic skills to work with power animals and journey into non-ordinary reality. (ASN Courses SH102, SH103, and SH105 can meet this prerequisite)

A LIVE FSS Workshop with Timothy Cope: Shamanism, Dying, and Beyond ::

In-person, 2 days (October 29 & 30, 2011 in Barrington, IL).  Participants learn how to deal with the issue of dying and the destiny of souls from a shamanic perspective. Prerequisite: SE905: FSS Basic Workshop.
