Shamanic Animal Healing Program of Study ::
Animal Spirit Healing & Education® Network is offering a four level program in Shamanic Healing for Animals which will guide you to open and deeply connect with your spirit allies, and work with them to heal animals and help their people. All shamanic program courses are taught by Carla Meeske, a pioneer in bringing shamanism to animal healing, and dynamic teacher with a dedicated following of amateur and professional animal practitioners.
6 Month Shamanic Training Series
A solid foundation in Shamanic work for healing animals and personal growth.
Carla is using using webclasses (also called Webinars) to host the shamanic learning circles. Webinars are gatherings that allow you to join a live community and learn from wherever you are. The circles are alive with conversations, journeys and ceremonies. Slide shows and visual materials enhance your experience and make it easy to follow along. You can connect to the audio through your computer, or through a telephone conference line. There is a downloadable manual for each course as well. You will learn by doing, and you will develop lifelong friendships, just like in physical circles and classes.

Six months of training combining personal development and animal healing techniques
The program is ideal for those who seek to learn shamanism for their personal development, and it is perfect for those who wish to learn shamanic healing techniques for animal communication and to heal their animal friends. All classes are ideal for enriching your life, and some are narrowly focused Shamanic Animal Healing.
You may take all of the classes in sequence, or with various ones beyond SH102/Module 2, take them as they fit into your schedule.
Shamanism for Personal Development Path: Everyone who participates will be enriched by a direct connection to their personal helping Spirits. Everyone will experience a shift in consciousness – an expanded awareness of the magical spiritual world that sits right behind the veil in everything on earth and beyond. Everyone will receive personal healing, access to the infinite wisdom and unconditional love of the Spiritual guides, ancestors and compassionate beings who desire to help us be happy, healthy and bright shining lights in the world. These promises are real. Your connection to this Power is your right and privilege, as an incarnate being who desires love and beauty. And for many of us it is our obligation, as the world turns the corner, and the shining light of the spirits returns, streaming through all who chose to be its beacon.
Shamanic Animal Healing Path: Some workshops focus on specific techniques for animal healing. Animal lovers can study shamanic animal communication, classical shamanic healing techniques, and working with the whole cycle of animal death and rebirth. Many of the techniques are applicable to humans too, but the classes are taught in the context of working with our furry and feathered friends.
The training series flow and recommended prerequisites: The prerequisites are not requirements. They are to let you know what foundation we are building upon in each class. If you have those skills already, feel free to registr for any class you like. If you have questions, please email us.

You can choose the time slot for each module that fits where you live.
Every meeting is recorded for the participants. Some will be made available on demand as well.

There are no course prerequisites for Level 1 / Module 1A in the SH Program of Study, however an elective course is available that can provide helpful insight and preparation:

Certificate of Completion
What is a Certificate of Completion in Shamanic Animal Healing? It is a document that states that you have successfully completed 4 levels of study which have introduced you to the core concepts of Shamanic Healing, and that you have integrated that learning in private capstone lessons with Carla Meeske. It certifies that you have dedicated yourself to extensive training, and that you have performed the core healing practices repeatedly, depending upon direct guidance from your compassionate spirits to get the job done. When you have earned this certificate you know that you have done great work and that the instructor believes you are ready and worthy! That being said, only your helping spirits can determine if you are qualified for a given shamanic healing task at any given time. This is true for everyone who does shamanic healing, no matter how accomplished they are.
The program is concentrated on the unique qualities of shamanic work for animals. We do not train you to be a human therapist. The program should be paired with your other experience or training to prepare you to actually manage a practice. That being said....
To earn an ASN Certificate of Completion in Shamanic Healing for Animals, students must fulfill all program requirements.
Requirements: Students must successfully complete the 4 levels of Shamanic Training and 3 Core Courses. Level 4 is a series of private lessons with Carla.
The 4 Levels of Shamanic Healing for Animals Specialty Courses are typically taken in sequence, however there are some flexible options. Ethics (BM101) must be completed prior to or during Level 4.
The remainder of the Core Courses may be taken at any time during the program, in no particular order, and must be completed before Certificates of Completion are issued.

The Core classes are offered as either scheduled teleclasses or on demand classes (via digital audio recordings and downloadable handouts). The Core Courses are included in the programs of study to help round out your education and bring you to a level of professional competency. The instructors of the core courses are well-established professionals and teachers in their field of expertise.

Each Specialty and Core course below includes a brief follow-up Fieldwork assignment / Journey Log used by the instructor and ASN, to specifically obtain program credit for an ASN certificate of completion in the Shamanic Healing program. Separate fieldwork tuition rates are noted below, and registration to be completed at the time of the journey log submission is located on the individual course pages. All courses can be taken by non-program participants for personal interest as well, in which case the fieldwork component is not required for ASN purposes.

It is recommended to begin the Core courses following Level 2 Shamanic Healing for Animals. All courses must be completed to obtain an ASN certificate of completion in the Shamanic Healing program.

Level 1 Shamanic Animal Healing
Level 1 connects you to your power spirit allies and gives you experience with the shamanic journey and non-ordinary reality – the world of spirits. You will learn a simple shamanic method for communication with animals that works well on its own, and interfaces nicely with telepathic communication. In shamanic work your spirit allies augment and clarify the information you receive, taking communication to a deeper level. You will begin to use shamanic techniques to heal underlying physical and emotional problems. You will learn to call your spirit allies into your energetic field, supercharging your work in all modalities, energetic and rational. And most important, a shamanic initiatory experience will deepen your connection to spirit, bring you direct personal healing and shift your world view.
Level 2 Shamanic Animal Healing
Level 2 introduces you to core shamanic healing practices of illness extraction and compassionate power retrieval. These cornerstone practices are the basis of most shamanic healing techniques. To excel in them you will need to have strong footing in non-ordinary reality and be able to enlist the help of a variety of helping spirits. These courses will give you experience in creating your sacred space in both realities, and will help you cross between the worlds with confidence.
Level 3 Shamanic Animal Healing
Level 3 goes farther and deeper, giving you the skills to deal with more difficult problems. Some of these problems require that you have strong initiatory experiences. You will learn to call in protection for specific issues, and you will learn to use the advice of the spirits to help guide your client’s choices. You will also learn to cross other spirits between the worlds as you learn to escort the dead to their families beyond.
Level 4 Shamanic Animal Healing/Personal & Professional Development Sequence
Level 4 is a series of private capstone lessons, tailored to each person to round out what they need after the full training program (Modules 1 through 7). These private capstone lessons will be an opportunity to fully integrate your experiences and get feedback on your work.
There are 4 private capstone lessons required to earn your certificate of completion in the ASN Shamanic Healing Program. Registration for all 4 private capstone lessons can be done up front (recommended). Or registration can be done with a 50% payment option to cover just the first two private capstone lessons with Carla. Further payment would then be required to complete the (4) total sessions to complete Level 4.
You may begin your private capstone lessons after Level 3 / Module 7. All 4 private capstone lessons are to be completed within 4 months of finishing Level 3 / Module 7.

SH450 (Private Captstone Lessons:: 4 sessions):
Private Mentoring with Carla: You are given (4) 60 minutes sessions of one-on-one feedback time over the phone with Carla with your course fee for SH450. You can use this at any point you like in the process following completion of Level 3 / Module 7. Each session is targeted as a 60 minute session. To initiate phone mentoring time, register online through the ASN website for SH450, and then e-mail Carla to set up your appointment(s). You can get more time beyond the (4) 60 minute sessions by setting up private mentoring appointments with Carla directly, which will not be a special rate.
What makes shamanic animal communication different from telepathic?
Simply put we use the shamanic journey to enter the altered state that allows the communication to occur, and we work in companionship with our personal spirit guides, power animals and teachers, who facilitate the process and add immense value every step of the way. If you already have training in telepathic communication you will find that this method augments your abilities, as you learn to leverage the wisdom of your spirits to bring back profound information. If you have no training at all, the shamanic method is really so simple that people find it easy to learn - even when they think they "can't do it".
Each shamanic animal healing course will include activities, teachings, and discussions in these areas:
- Core shamanic principles and techniques and their applications to animal clients
- Interfacing shamanism with other modalities
- Personal initiations for the practitioner
- Working with the Allies for direct spiritual guidance, healing and growth
- Personal safeguards and ethics
Additional Guidelines
Required Core courses are included as part of the full study program to ensure sufficient coverage of ethics, legal, and business aspects for students receiving a program certificate of completion. These are crossover requirements with other training programs offered through Animal Spirit Network, so the core requirement classes can fulfill credit in all programs simultaneously if a student is taking more than one study track over time.
Required courses for completion of the Shamanic Healing program through Level 4 cover concepts and techniques which are closely related to the skills of being a well-rounded Shamanic Healing practitioner.
Program credit for certain Core courses may be provided if you already have documented training or professional experience in specific classes.
