As we enter May, we bring many inspirational and informative teleclasses as the Spring energy brings new beginnings, beauty, and abundance!

Teleclasses

Shamanic Healing

We are excited that May brings us a variety of shamanic related courses with Carla Meeske Person to support those starting or continuing on their paths of Shamanic connection and journey work!

  • Introduction to Shamanic Journeying
    Introduction to the core concepts of shamanic journeying, teaching you to easily access the non-ordinary reality realms where your Spirit Helpers reside. Suggested for those interested in the Level 1 Shamanic Animal Healing teleclass (SH102), but with limited experience in telepathic animal communication and shamanic journeying. (Course code SH105, 3-part Teleclass, continuously available On Demand as a downloadable course).
  • Level 1 Shamanic Animal Healing
    Explore the animal's perspective through Shamanic journeys in non-ordinary reality. Firmly connect with your Spirit Allies, undergo shamanic initiations. Practice combining shamanism with your other modalities. (Course code SH102, 6-part Teleclass, beginning Tuesday, May 6, 7:30-9:00pm CT)
  • Level 2 Shamanic Animal Healing
    Learn, practice, and integrate the core shamanic healing practices of illness extraction, compassionate power retrieval, and additional techniques. (Course code SH202, 6-part Teleclass, beginning Thursday, April 17, 7:30-9pm CT)

Also, Introduction to Hawaiian Shamanism with Larry Kessler. Hawaiian Shamanism differs from other shamanic traditions. This class provides an overview of the Hawaiian system, including its simplicity and ease of use. (Course code SH114, 1-part Teleclass continuously available On Demand as a downloadable course).

Animal Communication

Begin or continue on your Animal Communication path by taking Introduction to Animal Communication as an On Demand class with Kristin Thompson, Animal Communicator and Interspecies Life Awareness Coach.

You can discover and explore the key aspects of animal communication and experience a heart-centered connection with your animal companion.

Then you can continue on or start with Level 1 Animal Communication (no prerequisites except recommended reading). Also facilitated by Kristin Thompson. We are offering one final class section this term in May, and will have additional Level 1 teleclasses starting in Aug/Sept (course code AC102):

  • A Monday evening class beginning May 5th
  • A Tuesday evening class beginning May 27th

Tellington TTouch Classes & Canine Nutrition

Upcoming In-Person classes with Tellington TTouch Practitioner and Canine Behavior Consultant Claudeen E. McAuliffe:

  • Tellington TTouch Bodywork. Resolve behavior and performance issues, enhance the relationship you share with your companion animal, and create a sense of well-being. Simple and easy to learn, TTouch Bodywork is done with gentle circular, sliding and lifting movements of the hands. (Course code BW102, Sunday, May 4, 1:00-5:30pm CT, Held at HAWS in Waukesha, WI)
  • Tellington TTouch Bodywork with Practicum. For those who wish to refine their skills, particularly in the areas of better understanding which TTouches apply to particular situations, this Bodywork class, with the Practicum component, provides guided and critiqued hands-on practice. (Course code BW112, Sunday, June 29, 9:00am-5:30pm CT, Held at Narnia Pet Behavior & Training in Plainfield, IL)
  • Canine Nutrition: Throw Your Dog a Turnip. Find out if your dog's diet may be causing less than perfect manners. Learn to fully appreciate the concept that "we are what we eat", and to make simple changes to your dog's diet that may promote and sustain behavioral changes. Course Code SB114.

Special Events Highlight

Upcoming special events through August 2008 include:

  • Introduction to Hawaiian Shamanism: Ho'omanamana - Initiation into the Power of Hawai'i - a LIVE workshop with Larry Kessler. This is a 2 day in-person event in Algonquin, IL on May 24 & 25. The Hawaiians believed the Self consists of three spirits that work together to run our lives. In this workshop, you will dive into the knowledge and power of the ancient Hawaiians, transform yourself, and crack open the secrets (huna) of life. There is no prerequisite for this class. (Course Code SE904, beginning Saturday, May 24, at 10:00am CT)
  • Celtic Shamanism and the Druid Wisdom Tales with Tom  Cowan.  This is a 2-day in-person event in Mundelein, IL on August 16  & 17.  Indigenous cultures preserve and pass on their wisdom  teachings in sacred stories. The Druids were the keepers of memory, the  storytellers, poets, and wisdom teachers of the ancient Celtic peoples. In  this workshop we explore through storytelling, shamanic journeys, rituals, and  meditations, the moral philosophy of the Druids regarding God, creation,  suffering, joy, death, free will, and the call to lead a decent human life.  Prerequisite: Participants must know how to journey into non-ordinary reality  and to work with power animals. (Course Code SE906, beginning Saturday, August  16, at 9:30am CT).

We are very honored that Animal Spirit Network has been endorsed by Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute as an Approved Elective Requirement Provider for students in the Tallgrass certification program. Tallgrass offers highly interactive training programs in acupressure and other vibrational medicine modalities for animals.

Concentrated program options for Tallgrass Institute students are located on the ASN website at http://animalspiritnetwork.com/classes/tallgrass/ As with ASN site visitors and ASN study program students, all Introductory Classes are also openly available for both personal interest and professional development.
