What Should I Know About A Teleclass Series That Runs For 5 Classes Or More? ::
Teleclass Series Information Before You Register ::
Our teleclasses are designed to create a warm, nurturing circle of support that enhances learning and creates a personal experience for each student.
The class will meet via telephone conferencing each week. The student dials into the conference line, enters the access code and is connected to the instructor and classmates via telephone. Class handouts are provided as pdf files, downloaded via the Internet over the duration of the course.
An online discussion/e-mail group will be formed just prior to the first class, and concluded a week following the last class in the series. Student discussion, practice and connection is an important part of the learning experience, and the discussion group also keeps students connected to the instructor for additional guidance during the course.
Students must have regular access to e-mail/internet, including the ability to receive/send correspondence with instructors and classmates. This lends to cohesive and consistent participation between class members, as well as reliable communication between instructor and student. Students should be available for communication via email/group messaging on a regular basis throughout the course, with a minimum of messaging ability every 2-3 days.
The teleclass will consist of discussion and exercises during the telephone gatherings, along with field work (independent exercises) assigned each week. Note taking and active participation during each class and journaling field work experiences will provide students with the best learning experience. Students should anticipate dedicating two hours on average each week to complete assigned fieldwork, which includes both independent and partnered exercises.
Student presence in the class is important for our learning environment. If you must miss a class, you will be able to listen to the online digital audio recording of the lesson. Please let the instructor know in advance if you will miss a class, or send a note as soon as possible after the class. We ask that you do not miss more than 2 classes during the course.
