How to Use This Site

Step 1. Browse the Catalog or Calendar to find the classes that interest you. (pages for Introductory Classes and Programs of Study are also available).

Step 2. Click through to the Class Description page for full details about that class. There, you will find useful information to help guide you to decide if that class is right for you. You will also find a link to the instructor's bio. Audio greetings from the instructors are also posted.

Classes are available in three formats as noted in the Catalog so you can look for these designations as you browse: On Demand, Scheduled Teleclasses, and LIVE Workshops.

Step 3. Then, click through to the calendar where you'll find the schedule, and the shopping cart link where you can register for one or multiple classes.

What is a Teleclass? ::

Teleclasses are live conference calls via your telephone. Registered students receive a call-in number and password in order to gain access to the virtual classroom at the scheduled class tims. Teleclasses are typically digitally recorded. This allows registered students access to the call even if you are unable to attend at the scheduled class time. Class handouts are provided to all who take part in the class.

Handouts and digital recordings are not included in the Coaching Call courses. Please note that teleclasses utilize a conference call phone number based in the United States. This is not a toll-free phone line. International students are welcome. We have had many class participants from other countries, including Canada and Europe.

What is Online Training? ::

Select classes will be online or have online components. Online training classes are held via the internet and involve logging in to a specific web site. The website and any pertinent password information is provided to all registered students. An online presentation is viewable during the class while listening to the class presentation/instructor on the phone.

What are On Demand Courses? ::

On demand classes are self-paced, and include downloadable handouts and streaming audio. Some are overviews and introductions to topics that ASN offers, and others are more comprehensive expositions of the topic they cover. All offer practical advice that you can use for your animals.

The audios are from live teleclass recordings, so you will receive the benefit of hearing questions and discussions with the instructor as the material is being covered with participants.

A listing of On Demand classes is available by clicking HERE. On Demand classes are also notated on the Catalog Page via a headphone icon.

What Should I Know About A Teleclass Series That Runs For 5 Classes Or More? ::

The teleclass series format consists of the weekly teleclass at the times and dates noted on the calendar as a limited size study group, with each student calling into a conference call number with an access code. Handouts will be provided via the internet as needed over the duration of the course. An e-mail group will be formed following the first class, and finishing mid-week following the last class in the series, to support student discussions and guidance by the course instructor as needed between telephone portions.

The teleclass will consist of discussion and exercises during the conference call gatherings, along with field work (independent exercises) assigned each week. Students are expected to take notes during the class, be dedicated to the group and process during each phone call, and journal their experiences over the class series for sharing and discussion. Students should anticipate dedicating two hours on average each week to complete assigned fieldwork, which includes both independent and partnered exercises.

Digital audios will be made available of each week's teleclass for student review, or if an emergency situation prevents your attendance on that particular date. Please check your calendars in advance of registration for a particular course section to ensure that you will be available at the dates and times noted for all scheduled dates of the course.

How do I sign up for an e-mail group? ::

For those who have completed Introductory Classes, you may choose to join an optional Animal Spirit Network e-mail group. This is especially helpful for those continuing on at their own pace in their studies, but wish to stay connected and share insights with others. This is a forum for students to speak, ask, or suggest, and all will be honored with respect. It is currently co-moderated by Carol Schultz and Linda Epstein. Your insights and those of the animals are welcomed, and you are encouraged to mutually support each other's progress through this forum.

For those specifically doing Shamanic Animal Healing students with Carla Meeske Person through ASN, there is a similar e-mail group specifically moderated by Carla Meeske Person.

To make a request to join one or both of these Animal Spirit Network e-mail community groups, please submit our request form.
