SH114 - Introduction to Hawaiian Shamanism ::

Hawaiian Shamanism differs from other shamanic traditions in two ways. First, it is a complete system. This includes meditation, chanting, energy healing and cultivation, the use of symbols, breath work, astrology, and working with spirits. Second, it focuses on how to obtain personal power (mana). The more mana one has, the more power one can handle from the spirits, and the more power one has for healing.

In this class, we will give an overview of the Hawaiian system, learn a simple yet powerful breathing technique that increases one’s mana, and discuss the source of aloha.

The beauty of the Hawaiian system lies in its simplicity and ease of use. Many of the healing techniques can be used immediately, and incorporated into one’s life and/or healing practice.

This is an excellent class for people who have had no shamanic experience, and fascinating for those with lots of experience.
