HL107 - Nutrition Education Series for Companion Animals - Healing Foods for Obesity ::

In this class, Dr. Mayer will identify an obese pet and the impact that status could have on their health. Supplements/nutraceuticals will be reviewed and recommended to support the body’s metabolism. Food ingredients to include or avoid will be addressed. Insights on Traditional Chinese Medicine and the energetics of food will be incorporated.

Dr. Mayer will define kcal, and outline the associated requirements for dogs and cats. Suggested exercises will be provided, as well as reference information on how Integrative Pet Care can help overweight pets lose weight safely and effectively.
