GS125 - Aromatherapy for End-of-Life Care, Loss and Grief ::

Essential oils can provide animals, their people, and caregivers with valuable support during the sacred end-of-life period in a gentle yet powerful way. This three part series will share what oils can be beautifully brought in on this path of transition and tender support.

The process of dying can be a very difficult time for both the human and the animal companion. Our whole beings need to be lovingly supported with the energies of the Earth so the transition between the worlds can be experienced in the most sacred way. Pure, medicinal grade essential oils are bottled energies directly from Mother Earth, and animals fully and deeply resonate with these magical substances.

In this three part series you will learn what essential oils are, and how to properly use them for healing the mind, body and spirit of both human and animal. Detailed instructions on how to safely use essential oils with your animal companion will be covered. You will learn of essential oil uses mentioned in ancient texts directing us in ways of healing and spiritual awareness. These sacred substances can help guide us in this time of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual shifts.

Physically, mentally, spiritually – all the energies of a being goes towards preparing for a transition, then a transformation. There are many essential oils that will lend their loving support to you and your animal friend as you both prepare for this transition. We will explore the proper oils to use for this preparation time while honoring the deep connection we have with our animal friends.

After our companions have crossed over, we, the humans, can face much work to accept this change in the relationship. Specific essential oils will help support this time in our lives and give us the strength and courage to continue. You will learn usage techniques that will help the end-of-life process be a sacred, respectful, and lovingly supportive time.

The final class segmant of this series will be an interactive session full of experiences we’ve had using these essential oils. We will provide a safe, supportive discussion where you can ask questions specific to your situation.
