GS101: Finding the Grace in Grief ::

Teleclass, or On Demand; open registration/no tuition. When we suffer a great loss, pain is inevitable. Though there is no magic wand to avoid the pain of grief, there is much we can do to support the healing of our pain, including being open to the grace. The state of grace is the other side of pain. As different as these energies may be, they do exist simultaneously. When the heart is broken open, it is not just pain that results from the breaking, but the possibility for growth of the heart as it heals. This introductory talk offers four distinct strategies, each with several practical resources, to help us in finding the grace in grief. No prerequisite.

GS102: The Animals' Perspective and Stories About Death, The Other Side and Coming Back ::

Teleclass series, 2 weeks, or On Demand. The objective of this teleclass series is to share stories--directly from the perspective of the animals--to enhance our understanding about the diversity of what is possible in death, the other side, and coming back. You will hear stories from the animals themselves which will inform you and hopefully bring you comfort, relief, and hope.  No prerequisite.

GS103: Legacies of Love: A Gentle Guide to Healing from the Loss of Your Animal Loved One ::

Teleclass series, 4 weeks. For some of us, losing an animal means losing a family member. The hole it can leave in our emotional hearts and our physical lives can feel harsh and devastating. This facilitated group process gently and lovingly provides participants with an opportunity to express their grief, understand their grief, and explore many strategies to heal their grief hands-on, with ample opportunity for active discussion and sharing. Prerequisite: completion of a pre-course questionnaire.

GS104: Grief Support Skills ::

Teleclass series, 4 weeks, or On Demand. Introduction to grief support skills and an overview of the grief recovery process. Prerequisite: Pre-purchase and review of Legacies of Love audio book by Teresa Wagner and completion of pre-course questionnaire.

GS110: Understanding and Preparing for Euthanasia ::

Teleclass series, 2 weeks. As animal caretakers we will almost certainly be faced at some point with decisions regarding the care of an ailing companion. Whether due to aging, chronic illness, acute injury, or tragic cases of severe behavior problems, most of us will, at some point, be presented with euthanasia as an option in the care of our companion animals. This course will focus on the physical process of death as it related to euthanasia in companion animals.  No prerequisite.

GS115: Animal Hospice from the Perspective of the Veterinarian, the Animal, and their People ::

Teleclass series, 2 weeks. Providing hospice care to our animal companions is a path of compassion, connection, and growth. A panel of professionals share their expertise, insights, and perspectives from years of client support and integrative hospice care for beloved animal family members. No prerequisite.

GS120: Flower Essences for End-of-Life Care, Loss and Grief ::

Learn how to use healing flowers essences to support the sacred transition of death, the grieving process, and caregiver & grief support roles

Teleclass series, 2 weeks, or On Demand. Death from the physical body is one of the most sacred periods of time on earth. Yet it also often brings tremendous emotional pain to those of us who grieve the physical loss of loved ones, intense stress to those of us in caregiving roles, sometimes uncertainty for those of us wanting to provide support to those who grieve, and a great desire for a peaceful death experience for our loved ones. Flower essences provide us with gentle yet powerful energy to support both our loved ones and ourselves for the transition of death, grieving, caregiving and supporting others.  No prerequisite.

GS125: Aromatherapy for End-of-Life Care, Loss and Grief ::

Teleclass series, 3 weeks. Essential oils can provide animals, their people, and caregivers with valuable support during the sacred end-of-life period in a gentle yet powerful way. This three part series will share what oils can be beautifully brought in on this path of transition and tender support. No prerequisite.

GS301: Level 3 Animal Loss & Grief Support: Case Study Procedures ::

On Demand. Introduction to the Level 3 case study course sequence, where you integrate your experiences and get feedback on your work. Requirements for cases are provided. Prerequisite: BM101, GS102, GS103, GS104, client contact, and instructor approval.

GS302: Level 3 Animal Loss & Grief Support: Case Study Grouping A ::

On Demand. Fieldwork, and individually scheduled phone session. Completion, write-up, and private mentoring/coaching review of 4 case studies. Class is scheduled on request. Prerequisite: GS301.

GS303: Level 3 Animal Loss & Grief Support: Case Study Grouping B ::

On Demand. Fieldwork, and individually scheduled phone session. Completion, write-up, and private mentoring/coaching review of 4 case studies. Class is scheduled on request. Prerequisite: GS302, MS230, plus all "100" level Animal Loss & Grief Support courses.
