Peg Silloway - Author and Publisher

Cat lovers recognize the special bond and communication that develop between cats and their people. In the course of creating her book, The Cat Lover's Book of Days, author Peg Silloway heard from hundreds of people about the unique ways their cats communicated with them to express a full range of emotions. In this session you will hear about the naming of cats (including cats who chose their own names), the influence of cats on artists and writers, cats who shared the lives of famous – and not so famous - people throughout history, and more.

Peg Silloway loves cats and words and bits of information. She put all three loves together into one project, The Cat Lover's Book of Days: A year of cat history, lore, and laughter. She firmly believes that cats are fully formed individual personalities, and that if we treat them with gentleness, respect, and affection, they become our best four-legged friends and loving companions.

When not performing her duties as host for her two cats, Kira and Pipsqueak, Peg runs The Silloway Press, a publisher that provides services to people who want to self-publish their non-fiction books. Peg is currently working on additional titles in The Book of Days series.
